The Thacher School Wedding with Erika & Tyler in Ojai, CA. Who knows who you will meet in a town of less than 8,000 people? Both Erika and Tyler moved to Ojai in 2021 for different reasons and started dating in 2021. Erika and Tyler tied the Knot at The Thacher School, which was a great backdrop to the start of their story, with the rolling hills in the background and a great view with their friends and family.

The ceremony took place under the blue sky of the afternoon with the fantastic backdrop of the mountains. Guests then moved to cocktail hour for some live music from a guitarist. Since cocktails were inside, we put a mic next to the musician’s speaker to amplify the music outside. Following cocktails, we welcomed the bridal party and couple into the reception and into their first dance. Since the reception space was longer than wide in length, we added a satellite speaker.

No party props were required for this party as Erika and Tyler’s friends and family brought enthusiasm. Highlights for me were the Latin set of music, Mr. Brightside, and finishing off the night with “Shout” the Animal House version. (It has to be that version)
