Best New Songs of 2021 for Wedding

“Levitating (feat. DaBaby)” by Dua Lipa: Although the song was released in October 2020 we had to add this song to 2021. “Levitating” reached number five on the UK Singles Chart and number two on the US Billboard Hot 100. Becoming Lipa’s seventh top five single in the UK and second in the US. This song is also the longest running top 10 song by a female artist in Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming the second song to spend 40 weeks in the region. It also reached number two on the Billboard Global 200 chart.

“Dakiti” By Bad Bunny and Jhay Cortez: The song debuted at number nine on the US Billboard Hot 100. It became Bad Bunny’s third Hot 100 top 10, following “I Like It”, his collaboration with Cardi B and J Balvin, and “Mia”, featuring Drake, both in 2018. “Dakiti” also joined “Mia” as the only all-Spanish-language songs to have ever debuted in the Hot 100’s top 10. The song marked Cortez’s first top 10 on the chart. It reached number five in its fifth charting week.

“Astronaut In The Ocean” by Masked Wolf: Song by Australian rapper Masked Wolf. It was originally released in June 2019 before being re-released through Elektra Records on 6 January 2021. Following its re-release, the song achieved chart success, peaking at number 4 on the Australian ARIA Charts and number 6 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Big song for Bridal Party Introductions.

“Up” by Cardi B: “Up” reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, making Cardi B the only female rapper to top the chart with multiple solo singles, following “Bodak Yellow”, and extended her record as the female rapper with the most number-one songs on the Billboard Hot 100 as her fifth chart-topper.

“Lil Bit” by Nelly and Florida Georgia Line. It marks the third collaboration between the artists after the remix of the duo’s hit single “Cruise” in 2013, and the song “Walk Away” from Nelly’s album M.O. in the same year. It is the lead single from Nelly’s country-influenced eighth studio album Heartland.

“Thot Shit” by Megan Thee Stallion: The first solo release following her debut studio album Good News (2020) and the lead single from her compilation album Something for Thee Hotties (2021) An uptempo song with heavy bass, it began as a freestyle by Megan Thee Stallion, and was inspired by her desire to reclaim the term “thot” from men who used it in a sexist manner.

“Take My Breath” by The Weeknd: Is a song by Canadian singer the Weeknd. It was released on August 6, 2021. On August 2, 2021, a snippet of “Take My Breath” with a visual of a sunrise titled “The Dawn Is Coming” and a GQ cover story was released in anticipation of new music.

“Save Your Tears” by The Weeknd & Ariana Grande: A second remix of the song, a collaboration with American singer Ariana Grande, was released on April 22, 2021, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and becoming both artists’ sixth number-one single.

“Best Friend” by Saweetie Feat. Doja Cat: Released on January 7, 2021 as the third single from her upcoming debut studio album Pretty Bitch Music. The song features American rapper and singer Doja Cat.

“Fancy Like” by Walker Hayes: During the COVID-19 pandemic, Hayes and his family decided to make TikTok videos for fun, creating dances for several songs from his EP Country Stuff for his children, including “Country Stuff” and “I Hope You Miss Me”. The TikTok video for “Fancy Like” has received more than 2.4 million likes and 23,000 comments, and became a popular meme which led to the song becoming a viral hit.
